As mentioned in my last post I was recently chosen to participate in my first Vox Box from Influenster. This box was the Bite Beauty Lip Pencil.
For those of you who don’t know what Influenster is. It is an online community of over 2 million users. These users review products, ask questions, share opinions and so much more. They also offer free boxes of products for review based on the influence you have on social media. (The more influence you have the better/more boxes you will receive!!)
I had gotten a few emails in the past saying that I was chosen for a survey to see if I qualify for the box, but unfortunately, I did not. So when I got the email saying I was on the short list I got excited but didn’t keep my hopes up. But little to my luck I qualified and a few short weeks later I received the Influenster x Bite Beauty box.
In this box, I had received 2 full sized product of the new Bite Lip Pencil in shades 020 and 044, the matching deluxe size Amuse Bouche lipsticks in Honeycomb and Whiskey, as well as a Sephora biodegradable sharpener.
I have always heard great things about Bite Beauty and had more love for them because they are a Canadian brand. BUT I haven’t actually tried any of their products so I was super excited to find out if they are all they are hyped up to be.
Well let me start out by saying this, the hype is definitely real; the quality and comfort level of these products are astounding. They leave your lips feeling so moisturized and smooth and stay that way even in the harsh winter weather of Northern Ontario.
Now let’s get started on the review:
The Lip Pencil in 020 (Beige Nude) – when I first saw this Pencil I was super excited to try it out because I am a sucker for a perfect nude. So obviously I tried this first of the 2 because well it’s gorgeous. It is described as beige nude and it is just that. It is the perfect nude to wear under any nude lip including the Amuse Bouche lipstick in Honeycomb which they also sent.
The Lip Pencil in 044 (Rich Mahogany) Being completely honest I did not think that I would like this colour AT ALL. But to my surprise after trying it once I was instantly in love. The colour is described at rich mahogany but I think it has a more brown tone. When paired with the Amuse Bouche lipstick in Whiskey it creates a super dark bold vampy look.
These products are amazing. The pigmentation is great, as you can get away with a single application since it is so opaque and smooth. As with all BITE products they are made without any harsh chemicals such as parabens, sulfates and phthalates and instead reach for more natural ingredients such as shea butter and beeswax; creating a creamy texture that’s uber moisturizing on the lips. Thank you to Influenster and BITE Beauty for sending me these products for free for review purposes!!
