Ipsy Tres Jolie March 2017 Review

Ipsy March 2017I can honestly say that I think this months bag is one of my favourites I’ve ever received from ipsy. Product wise it’s fairly good, but the bag itself… my goodness. I just cannot get over it. It’s a beautiful light pink colour with a mesh type overlay on one side. The bag is also huge and can be folded down to mix up the pattern and be a clutch size. The zipper is rose gold and djalyajogsua it’s just so me.

For those of you who do not know what Ipsy is; it is a monthly makeup subscription where each month you receive 5 deluxe sample, or full sized items and a different makeup bag for only $10USD (& $4.99USD shipping if you live in Canada like me!) but the value is so much more.

With my move I was sure to change my address in January so that I would be able to get my bag at my new apartment (I moved in on the 13th) and when I checked my tracking it was set to arrive the day I moved in. Thanks ipsy for the house warming gift 😉

Product wise this month I received a liquid lipstick, a brush, a blush, a face lotion and hair cream. And truthfully the only disappointment is in the hair cream, as I have soooo many different ones from Ipsy and I’m so sick of getting more.

The first item I got is the Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint by Tarte in the colour “Delish”. It is a mauve-y nude shade, that is absolutely gorgeous applied. The formula is super quick drying, without being drying to the Lip (if that makes any sense). It is also super long lasting and can withstand all you can eat sushi (always a plus!) This is actually the item that I had chosen to be put in my glam bag from their survey last month. This is a travel sized item (1ml) with the full sized (6ml) being priced at $20USD. So this is worth $3.33USDTarte DelishThe next item I received is the Elizabeth Mott Blending Brush. My goodness. This brush is to die for. It’s such a pretty shade of aqua on the handle and the bristles are super soft and loose to give you a perfect blend of shadows. This is a full sized item with a price of $15USD.

The third item I received is the Dirty Little Secret Cosmetics Blush in the colour “Kitty Pink”. The formula of this blush is fairly buttery and smooth. The pigmentation isn’t super bright but it does make for a very pretty natural look and it is buildable to create a more saturated look. Also the name is a little bit of a throw off as I find it more of a coral than a pink. This is a full sized item valued at $14USD.

The fourth item I got is the Marc Anthony Deep Repair Conditioning Treatment. This is the full sized item with 50ml. I have not tried this yet because as I said before, I have soooo many treatments that they have sent me. However now that I’m reading the bottle it does sound a little more appealing to me. It claims “extreme renewal for dry, damaged hair. Containing a rich blend of Aloe Vera, Jasmine and Sea Kelp, this hydrating formula instantly corrects, softens, detangles, and creates healthy, frizz-free hair with shine.” The value of this is $2.99USD.

The final item I got is the Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer from First Aid Beauty. This is a travel sized item with 0.34 oz in it. I have not tried it yet, but it says it is fragrance free and allergy tested, also safe for sensitive skin. When testing it on my hand the formula is super lightweight and non-greasy at all. As soon as I applied it my hand instantly felt so moisturized and smooth. The full sized retails for $24USD for 1.7 oz, which gives this a value of $4.80USD.

Overall the total value of this months bag was $40.12USD. So over 4 time what I paid (not including shipping). Not too bad if you ask me.
