February Favourites

Holyyyyy, how is it already the last day of February? (update its the first day of march now) (another update it’s the 4th… I suck) And how do I already have a 1 year old? How has it been 6 months since starting my blog? Time has flown by and I’m not too sure how I feel about it.
And let me start by saying I’m moving In a little over a week so all my photo props and camera are already packed so I’m sorry for the quality of this post.

This past month has been so fast paced, from deciding to move back to London, to finding our apartment, to celebrating Bentleys first birthday and watching him stand on his own for the first time. I feel like so much has happened and in such a short amount of time.

Now to get onto the good stuff. The reason why you’re here. The things I’ve been loving throughout the month of February.

The first item is a lipstick that I had ordered in December and had just tried out this month. It is the Too Faced Melted Matte in Lady Balls. This red is the perfect for a classic red lip. The formula isn’t drying on the lip but it does dry down to a matte finish. The only downside to it is that it does stain the skin around the lip if it smudges.

Next up is a rediscovered favourite of mine. The MAC Studio Fix Powder in NW20. I had this before and then when I repurchased it, it was too dark so it sat in my drawer. A while ago I had repurchased in the correct colour and I used it on top of foundation since but this past week or so I had broken out bad. I figured I’d let my skin breathe a little so I just used the powder. But my goodness, the coverage on this powder is amazing. It’s so full coverage that I can get away with a little concealer on my blemishes and just the powder and have a friend tell me my makeup looks so good.

My third favourite is the Mad Lash mascara by the Balm. When I first was reading the reviews not many people seemed to like the mascara. Personally I love how it makes my lashes look. They are so full and long without clumping together and they look super natural. This has been my go to mascara when I’m doing a basic makeup day, or I pair it with my Younique 3D Fibre Lashes for a more dramatic look.

My final favourite item this month has made travelling and bringing makeup places so much easier. It is the Luxie Pink PRO 30 Makeup Brush Book. While my Luxie collection was slowly getting huge (oops) I figured it was time to purchase this book. I am so so so glad I did because it makes bringing my brushes anywhere so convenient. The inside is a pleather-type material which makes cleaning makeup off of a breeze. It features 4 different pages to put your brushes, some are small for eye brushes while others big for face brushes. It’s super cute and portable and with my 25% off coupon I was able to get it for roughly 20$.

Finally for my Spotify playlist of the month. There is no particular theme as my musical tastes have been all over.. I’m talking Shania Twain’s country all the way to Mac Miller’s rap. These songs are in no particular order either.
